ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते।
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते।।
ॐ शांतिः शांतिः शांतिः।।
हा ईशावास्योपनिषदाचा शांतिपाठ आहे. शास्त्र असं म्हणते की जेव्हा आपण शास्त्राध्ययन करतो तेव्हा मंगलाचरण अत्यंत आवश्यक असते.
‘मंगल आदिनी मंगल मध्यानि मंगल अन्तानि च।’ शास्त्र म्हणते, अत्यंत मंगल असा ईश्वर-ब्रह्म याचं स्मरण प्रारंभी, मध्ये आणि शेवटी पण केलेच पाहिजे. प्रारंभी आणि अंती केलेले स्मरण असेल तर सर्वच ईश्वराला समर्पित होते. जेव्हा केलेले अध्ययनच ईश्वरार्पित होते, तेव्हा अध्ययनाचा अहंकार राहत नाही म्हणून मंगलाचरण करतात.
